Cell Phones Etiquette

Everyone has a cell phone these days. But using cell phones inappropriately be very frustrating for the people next to you.

Depending on where you’re , different rules for cell phone usage apply. Some professional companies are very restrictive, requiring cell phones not be used in the workplace.

Other companies have structured policies, which allow employees to use cell phones under certain conditions, outlined by the company. For example, employees might be able to carry a cell phone, but must keep the device on vibrate or silent and in a desk or a purse. Other companies allow usage because it’s helpful to the organization. If a manager is constantly out of the office, a cell phone call or text message can be convenient and time saving.
When in the workplace, it’s best to restrict cell phone usage to lunch and breaks. Too many interruptions in meetings or cell phone talking can damage your reputation in the workplace, and even get you fired.

But work is not the only place you might feel restricted: School, church, pool, etc..
