Calling Plan Explanations: Guidelines

If you want to find out more about Calling Plan Basics I suggest you read entire article on this, but if you want only most important bullets, feel free to read only this post:)

So, lets talk about calling plans.

With the right calling plan, a wireless phone shouldn't cost much more than a landline service phone. But the sheer number of choices and complexity in rate plans can make simple comparison and selection a challenge for anyone.

Two key differences that make wireless calling plans more complex than typical landline service:

· First, wireless phone customers pay for service based on the number of minutes for both incoming and outgoing calls, unlike landline service which is typically unlimited in nature excepting long-distance fees.

· Second, by their very nature wireless phones are not tethered to land-line access, allowing a customer to send and receive calls or messages from a virtually infinite number of places.

As a direct result of these differences, a wireless calling plan bill is a very accurate tally of where a customer uses their phone, how long they talk, what time of day they talk, and what numbers they called or received calls from.

Cell Phones Etiquette

Everyone has a cell phone these days. But using cell phones inappropriately be very frustrating for the people next to you.

Depending on where you’re , different rules for cell phone usage apply. Some professional companies are very restrictive, requiring cell phones not be used in the workplace.

Other companies have structured policies, which allow employees to use cell phones under certain conditions, outlined by the company. For example, employees might be able to carry a cell phone, but must keep the device on vibrate or silent and in a desk or a purse. Other companies allow usage because it’s helpful to the organization. If a manager is constantly out of the office, a cell phone call or text message can be convenient and time saving.
When in the workplace, it’s best to restrict cell phone usage to lunch and breaks. Too many interruptions in meetings or cell phone talking can damage your reputation in the workplace, and even get you fired.

But work is not the only place you might feel restricted: School, church, pool, etc..
